Avoid exercises or activities that make you bend your neck or tilt your head. It might not be easy but you should try to keep your head vertical for as long as you can. You can use some pillows to prop yourself up or consider sleeping in a reclining chair. Make certain arrangements to help keep your head at a 45-degree angle while sleeping.
